Case Study 2: Preston Park Ave, Brighton, East Sussex
Property type: Flat conversion within a Victorian House
Project: Flat renovation.
Challenges: Accessibility due to flat location.
Outcome: Earthwise Construction was awarded the contract because of our understanding and experience of eco-renovation projects. The brief was to entirely change the layout of the flat, replace all the windows with new double glazed sash windows, and insulate all roof and wall voids to improve air tightness and overall energy efficiency.
Materials used: These included Sun Pipes fitted into ceilings for natural light and ventilation, a hand built, sustainably sourced kitchen, and custom made doors from reclaimed antique pine.
