Project: Loft Conversion.

Challenges: High levels of insulation and meticulous attention to detail to achieve air tightness.

Overview: Large, full height high-performance timber doors were fitted, pipework was laid to enable the addition of a solar thermal heating system at a later date.

Materials used: Locally sourced chestnut cladding was used externally, and the eave spaces were very carefully detailed to ensure no loss of warm air. Eco varnishes and paints were used throughout.
