We offer a complete end to end construction service, including general building, carpentry, plastering, plumbing, electrics and painting and decorating.

Our People

We directly employ highly skilled carpenters, to meet the team click here. We also have strong relationships with all associated trades and professionals, including plumbers, bricklayers, electricians, surveyors, engineers and architects. We only use the best and you don’t have to take our word for it, as all of our suppliers are Checkatrade approved.

Materials

Using the right materials during a green build is essential. During construction we only use sustainable wood and other sustainable materials; this is part of our commitment to using low impact, natural, reclaimed and recycled materials wherever possible.

Here are some examples of the sustainable materials and techniques we use in eco construction projects:

Wood: We use locally sourced chestnut timber which is from a coppice forest and Forest Stewardship Council Certified. We can use this for fascia and sofitboards. Why do we use this wood? Because it is a high performance wood and does not require treatment which saves on painting, not to mention it lasts for 70-80 years!

Galvanised Steel Guttering: Not only is Galvanised steel guttering aesthetically pleasing and long lasting, it is also recyclable and a sustainable material

Timber Windows: We use a local joinery company to produce bespoke timber windows for our customers. Not only is timber longer lasting than UPVC, but you can still enjoy the same insulation benefits. Also, UPVC is energy intensive to produce, whereas wood is not and is also Carbon zero and it can be more easily recycled. We also specify high performance double and triple glazed windows/doors from a range of select suppliers nationwide.

Reclaimed Timber: We try to use this for flooring and shelving. Not only does it look great, but it is hard wearing too.

High performance draft proofing: We use aluminium and siliconised rubber to provide high performance draft proofing. It is long lasting, prevents air from coming in and is more effective than more commonly used draft proofing solutions.

Lime plaster and renders: Normally to render external walls cement is used, however, cement uses a high amount of energy to produce. Alternatively, lime plaster produces less carbon dioxide emissions, is breathable and has been successfully used for centuries.
