Dan England, Director, Earthwise Construction




Ben East

Ben East is a founder director of Earthwise Construction and a qualified Carpenter and Site Manager with over 10 years experience. His main role in the company is to act as Site Manager, but he also undertakes the general day to day running of the company. He is passionate about green building and is a committed environmentalist.

Mischa Hewitt

Mischa Hewitt is a Sustainability Consultant, Project Manager and Director of Earthwise Construction. He has an MSc Architecture: Advanced Energy & Environment Studies (Distinction) from the Centre of Alternative Technology / University of East London. He is also a Certified Passivhaus Designer, a trained Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor and has a Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment. He is the co-author of 'Earthships: Building a zero carbon future' and is a Director of The Low Carbon Trust, where he project managed the award winning Earthship Brighton project. He is a Trustee of the AECB and has organised many environmental events, including the 'Eco Open Houses' weekends in Brighton and several conferences, click here for further information. In his spare time he plays the piano and composes classical music.

Dan England

Dan England is Master Carpenter/Builder with over 15 years experience. Before joining Earthwise Construction he ran a green building company in Brighton called Ecologise Ltd. He is a committed ecologist and has been a member of the Green Register since 2003, he also has many links with green building organisations in France.

Victoria Black

Victoria Black is a designer and accomplished carpenter. She has worked on eco builds in many parts of the world and has been part of the Earthwise Construction team for past 3 years. She is currently on maternity leave.
